SHR is a light therapy that slides continuously over the skin delivering energy evenly over the desired area. It uses a broad spectrum of light, specifically in the wavelengths that target the melanin on the skin, making it effective on various skin types, allowing the skin to be heated gently. Approximately half of the energy is absorbed onto the melanin, and the other half is absorbed in the stem cells, creating permanent damage of target cells. SHR treats pigmented dermatology such as melasma, sunspots, age lentigines, post-laser hyperpigmentation, and freckles.
